Dr Woo Yen Yen (Speaker)
With home-based learning, many parents have suddenly been thrown into the role of teachers without very much training. But we all know there’s a huge difference between teachers who just nag kids to memorize textbooks to pass exams—and those truly magical teachers who make kids feel curious and excited about learning, even after leaving school.
Drawing from research in educational philosophy, curriculum studies and educational psychology, Ivy League-trained education professor and creator of the award-winning Dim Sum Warriors app Dr. Woo Yen Yen will take parents for a peek under the hats of these magical teachers—to share useful principles that anyone can use to improve their “educational relationships” with their children.
Benjamin Ho (Puppet Making Master)
Benjamin Ho is a madman who vows his love and life – long devotion to inanimate objects called PUPPETS. He accumulated mileages from land, sea and air, just to acquire knowledge and skills so as to bring life to these puppets.
Injection of life to puppets is not only his sole purpose in life, he also aspires to take this educational and meaningful art form to a greater height by entailing his mastery of puppetry with multimedia, and also through our rich Asian culture and stories to enthuse and engage his audience, young and old.
Paper Monkey Theatre
Nestled in the lush greenery of Goodman Arts Centre lies Paper Monkey Theatre, where we create theatre productions and workshops infused with puppetry for children and family entertainment, encouraging artistic development and enriching learning experiences.
The company is formed in April 2008 helmed by well-known puppeteer/playwright in Singapore, Benjamin Ho, with a vision to create a platform of lasting, meaningful theatrical experiences for both children and adults in Asia.
Exciting Theatre Productions for Children & Families!
Every year, Paper Monkey Theatre creates and stage three to four new family oriented productions. At the same time, our touring repertoire is out and about, bringing performances and conducting workshops at various schools and community spaces
